NEW AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER PROGRAM

September 2009 Start: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) Program

 The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) program is a new 2-year Diploma program offered for the first time in September 2009 at the NSCC Aviation Institute. It offers excellent hands-on instruction and uses actual aircraft to develop skills for the repair and maintenance of complex aircraft cockpit instruments, avionics and aircraft electrical systems.

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) program is a 1-year Certificate program, also offered at the NSCC Aviation Institute in Dartmouth. This is the perfect program for anyone who wants to launch a career in the aviation industry in just one year. This program has recently been developed by the NSCC Aviation Institute at the request of aviation industry employers who are facing a serious shortage of the skilled experts required to repair and overhaul aircraft in Nova Scotia

You can qualify for a career in the Aviation Industry without leaving Nova Scotia. Work for airlines and repair/overhaul facilities in Nova Scotia as soon as you graduate. Qualified aircraft maintenance engineers are in short supply right now, and the Nova Scotia aviation industry is hiring all they can get.

As a graduate of NSCC's aviation programs, you'll be qualified to start work immediately with various airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and repair/overhaul facilities in Nova Scotia and throughout North America.

 

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics)

Avionics Technicians work in repair and overhaul shops to service and test the electrical, electronic and instrument components of an aircraft.

 

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) repair and maintain airframes, engines and associated systems for airplanes and helicopters.

 

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures)

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) inspect, disassemble and reassemble aircraft structures, and repair and replace components of aircraft frames.
